In the sixth iteration of the Stanford/Elsevier database, SFB-TRR 161 researchers were once again highly successful. In total, five of our project leaders managed to secure a spot on the prestigious list, which ranks the top 2% of researchers worldwide based on their citations.

For the subfield “Human Factors”, Albrecht Schmidt (C06) ranks 45 out of a total of 14,370 most cited researchers worldwide. Andreas Bulling reaches 60 th place in the same subfield. Out of 22.073 researchers in the subfield Software Engineering, Daniel Keim (A03) reaches 11 th place, while Michael Sedlmair (A08) occupies rank 150 and Daniel Weiskopf (A01, B01, Ö, MGK) rank 414.

About the Stanford/Elsevier citation database

In 2019, researchers from Stanford University (Ioannidis et al. 2019) published a ranking of the world's most-cited scholars. This was highly acclaimed for its methodology and scope because it combined various citation indicators calculated based on data from Scopus (Elsevier). The most recent edition of the dataset was published in October 2023 and lists over 200,000 top-cited scientists from 22 sicientific fields and 174 sub-fields:
