Thomas Ertl is project investigator of TRR-Project A02, vice rector for research and advanced graduate education of the University of Stuttgart, as well as Leader of the Institute for Visualization and Interactive Systems (VIS) and Visualization Research Center (VISUS) in Stuttgart.
At the beginning of May he was honored with the Distinguished Career Award 2016, one of the most important and top-ranking prices in the field of computer graphics in Europe. Prof. Ertl received the award during the opening ceremony of the 37 th anual conference of the European Association for Computer Graphics in Lissabon.
