From 18 th to 20 th of July the doctoral retreat was held at the Waldhotel Zollernblick. This was the first doctoral retreat for the SFB-TRR 161, and thus the first chance to meet each other for many PhD students, especially for those who were not at the previous status seminar.
During the three days the students held short talks and discussed what has been done so far and what should be done in future. Besides they could exchange their current activities and know-how in an informal atmosphere during a mobile archery range and on a excoursion to the Experimenta Freudenstadt. This helped to integrate new students and to find out who has what kind of data and associated problems.
