Albrecht Schmidt Elected Member of the Leopoldina

Albrecht Schmidt, project leader of the SFB-TRR 161 project User-Adaptive Mixed Reality (C06), has been elected member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. 

Congratulations!

Originating in 1952 as a classical scholarly society and appointed as the German National Academy of Sciences in 2008, the Leopoldina today counts 1,600 members from almost all branches of science in over 30 countries. Election to the academy is carried out in a multi-stage selection process and admission criteria are outstanding scientific achievements. 

Members of the Leopoldina are organized in 28 sections, which represent their field of work. Albrecht Schmidt participates in the Informatics section.
